Club Update
The training pool situation remains ongoing and continues to change.
The committee is communicating daily and working hard to secure suitable pool time for our swimmers. We are hopeful that we may be able to secure a Friday session at either The Perse or Impington and will keep families updated as soon as we have confirmation. We are still awaiting communication from Anglian Leisure regarding a return to Bottisham in October. We are aware of concerns that children who normally attend swimming lessons at Bottisham have been told that there will be no lessons in October. The committee is actively pursuing this with Anglian Leisure and, at the same time, working on contingency plans. Thank you to everyone who responded to the committee’s email at the weekend. It was extremely encouraging to receive so many suggestions, positive comments and offers of support. We really appreciate parents working with us as we navigate the current situation.
Training – Week Commencing 7 September
Monday: Impington, 8–9pm – A Squad
Wednesday TBC: Jesus Green Lido, 7–8pm – A, B & C Squads
Thursday TBC: Dry Land Training – location and time TBC
Sunday: Impington – All Squads as normal
Gala & Event Updates Gators Meet – London | 4 October 2026 Entry deadline is tomorrow, 5 September.
JFL Final - If your swimmer has been invited, please respond as soon as possible. This will allow us to offer places to additional swimmers if required.

Parent Volunteers Supporting the Club Together
BSC relies on the support of our parent volunteers, and we are always keen to welcome more families into the team. Volunteering as a timekeeper, judge or team manager is a great way to support your child, learn more about competitive swimming and play an active part in the club.
We are very grateful to those parents who regularly give up their time. However, we would love to see more families getting involved. If every family gave just a little of their time once a year, we would have a strong and sustainable team of volunteers. No previous experience is necessary, and the committee and coaches will support you.
Please speak to a committee member if you would like to get involved.

Please remember that phones are not permitted in the changing rooms. Thank you for your continued support and for working with the committee and coaches to make BSC a positive and supportive environment for all our swimmers.
