Competition update

Karl says: Well done to everyone who swam at the Neate Meet at the weekend. We had 21 swimmers across 86 races. There were some brilliant swims along with a few county times, but a few disappointed faces, we are less than a month into the season and I know we will turn those frowns upside down. Faith was also swimming at Parkside in the Cambridge Grand Prix gala with her blue hat on 🙂

This weekend we have Corby and the JFL final so good luck swimmers!

Karl will be accompanying the team to Corby while Coach Pippa takes the reins for the JFL final at Newmarket, with Emma M as your new JFL team manager – a job she’s kindly agreed to take over from Trish next season.

Information for those coming to Corby:

Warm up is 13:45hrs and racing will start at 14:30hrs. The public/swimming lessons are in the pool till 13:00hrs so therefore they will be getting changed till around 13:20hrs. It will be very busy with the public leaving. Swimmers arriving before this time will not be allowed in to the pool complex and will have to wait outside the building until this time to allow the public time to clear the building.

Clubs have been allocated space around the pool, so please make your way to that area. It will also be very busy pool side setting the pool to 50m,  so once on poolside please leave space to allow free access to staff turning the pool around for this event.

There will be restricted access to the changing rooms. Only swimmers, Officials and Coaches will be allowed past this point. Coaches should sign in and collect their coaches pack which will contain a badge to get in and out with. Officials should sign in for their session or sessions and have their badges on them. Parents will not be permitted to enter the changing room areas.

The Spectators door will open at 13:20hrs following entry into the pool complex

Swimzi shop and High5 will both be present in the building so new swimming accessories can be purchased on the day along with energy drinks.
