County Development Gala – Sunday at Whittlesey

Paula Durrant, Chair of Cambs ASA has sent the following info re Sunday’s rearranged session 2 of the County Developments:

Warm up will commence at 17:00. Entry to poolside will be at the discretion of the meet promoter as and when the pool is set up and ready.

We ask all clubs to support this event by ensuring parents are clear that there will be no entry to the pool until at least 16:30, please discourage early arrival as we are having to manage public swimming hand over and it is more effective if we do not get in the way of the pool operatives for this. This is very important as the Exec have negotiated a limited cost for pool hire on this.

We are operating AOE and the event has a new approved licence number from the region.

We will be charging for entry and there will be programmes but the programmes will on this occasion not be charged for.

We have sufficient officials to meet licence criteria but could do with further volunteers to assist with warm up and other roles. Please email John Burling john.burling@ntlworld.com if you are able to help here. Thank you.

I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday and to completing the County Development Meet in full. Thank you to all that have supported this event in its reschedule.

Team, your coach for the evening is Alex Bevis – please meet poolside by 4.45pm.  Swim fast, have fun, see you there!

CoCSC July Open – arrangements

CoCSC’s Jeanne Barker Open takes place this weekend.  Accepted entries and arrangements can be found in this post here.  Please can all swimmers aim to get to Parkside 30 minutes before the start of pool warm-up – that’s 11.30am for the first session on the Saturday and 10.30am for the first session on Sunday.  Remember that travel and transport is likely to be a nightmare and plan accordingly…

Enjoy and swim well.
