We are currently in two Leagues: Junior Fenland League (JFL - Team Manager Simon Morris), and the Senior Fenland League (SFL - Team Manager, Rob McCubbin). The JFL is for swimmers aged 9-13 (age on day of final competition) and consists of 5 competitions. The League has 'cut-off' times which may prevent a few of our fastest swimmers from taking part.
The SFL covers the complete age range and has a mixture of races including relays.
The JFL and SFL meets are not Licensed Meets, and the times cannot be used for County Championship qualification.
We also have the Club Championships over two Saturday Evenings, Late November and Early December - an important fixture for the swimmers and for selecting teams for the following year.
The Gala is not a Licensed Meet, and the times cannot be used for County Championship qualification.
As well as these 14 events above, there are a few Open events where swimmers compete as individuals rather than as part of a team. We attend a number of local Gala's each year, in 2010/11 we took around 40 Swimmers to the following Licensed Meets; County Developments (Nov), Biggleswade Open (Jan), Fenland Open (May) and the Cambridge Open (July) to name but a few. Last year we had a good collection of medals and more importantly PB's from both the boys and girls. Open meet heats are normally graded by submitted times rather than age groups, so no matter what your level the races should be tight and exciting.

Keep an eye on the chairs/notice board on the way into the changing rooms. Notice about galas will appear there for the web-shy!
The County Championships are normally held mid March over four days in Cambridge and Peterborough (Corby used in 2011 for long distance races). To qualify for the County Championships swimmers are required to reach the qualification times at licensed Open Meets. For more information on Licencesed events please speak to Nigel Seamarks - Club Chairman.
